Relationships are either serious or casual, and both parties may have opposition views about the very same relationship. That may cause distress to both. So, one has to look from the other's view to see what your date thinks of the relationship and where your date would like the relationship to go. There are few tell-tale signs that your boyfriend is getting ready to be in a serious relationship.
He wants to know those around you. That includes your best friends and your family. That is a sign that he wants to be part of your world, and would like to embrace all that is in your world. The more he gets into your world, the more comfortable he will be when the moment comes for him to announce his commitment.
He is, most of the time, the one who takes initiative. You can tell whether he is serious and committed (to the relationship) by how often he calls, or text messages. He would be the one that decides when to meet, where to meet and what activities you would be having. These actions show that he is ready and waiting.
The words he uses may also well indicate his thinking. If he is one who says "we" instead of "I", that indicates that he thinks of the two of you as one. This is sign that he wants to be together with you for the rest of his life.
There are other aspects of his life that indicate that he wants to commit to you. Any man who dares to commit must be at least financially stable. Does he have a good job with a fat paycheck? Being financially ready is great for commitment. He needs to be financially and mentally ready.
Take a look at his friends. Are most of them married? This type of "peer pressure" tend to affect some men and yours may be one of them. People, sadly, have a herd mentally. He probably thinks "my friends are married, that means it's high time I get married too."
