We all know the aphorisms. Yeah, you know the ones. The ones that says, "First impressions last." Or, "You never get a second chance at a first impression." We've all probably heard these sayings a thousand times. But how many people actually manage their first impressions? How many people have such difficulty in dating just because they do not make a good first impression?
Unfortunately, very few. This is why many people struggle socially! Once you learn how to control the impression that you make upon other people. You will have taken a very significant step to ensuring your long term success, both in dating and in the larger sphere we call life.

Here are some simple ways to make a good first impression:

Practice good grooming. Obviously, you can not expect people to form good impressions unless you take the time to take care of yourself. When you take care of yourself, you send the message that you value yourself; that you have worth. You not only send this message to other people, you send it to yourself, to your subconscious mind! Good grooming will have a positive effect on your self-confidence, and having a good level of self-confidence is a sure way to make a good impression. If you have ever been at a date, you know that the people who are most successful are those who are the best-groomed, and therefore the most confident.

Manage your facial expressions. This is an important part of making a good impression. Put a smile on your face when you meet someone! Act as if you enjoy meeting each and every person you meet. Pretty soon, you really will enjoy every acquaintance! People can sense if you enjoy being in their presence, and they naturally like people who gravitate to them. This applies to dating, as with everywhere else. By making the effort to smile, you will be making yourself more attractive to people from all areas of your life.
