If you’re Asian and are reading this, don’t be embarrassed, man. I’ve been in your shoes. There are more than enough dating coaches for men out there than we can possibly handle. But one group in particular seems, or they think, to need it more. Asian men dating outside their race is not as common as they would like it to be. As an Asian man myself, I noticed growing up that Asian girls seemed to be going out with white guys more frequently. But I also noticed Asian men putting blame for their dating woes towards the media or cultural issues.
Asian men actually are missing out on real role models to show them that our playing field is just as equal as everyone else’s. Now, I know that there are a lot of guys that don’t believe in that statement but that is what is stopping most Asian men from having any type of success with, not just women outside their race, but with any women.
The Asian man’s dilemma lives in his own head. It’s an ugly creature that has spread its roots deep into a man’s soul. So what can be done about it?
First, admit that it’s your fault.
That’s a biggie for most people. But if you can take this first, but huge step, you’re in the right direction. Believe me, my Asian brother, I HAVE BEEN THERE.
Stop blaming the media or your racism. Stop ANY type of negative thought that enters your mind and go forward positively without looking back.
Second – socialize. Look, admit it, you’re a dork. Go and socialize where there are people. Get out of your room and talk to people and converse with males or females at McDonald’s. It doesn’t matter. Ask open-ended questions, like “How’s your day going”. And if you’re laughing at this or having a hard time talking to anyone then you really do have a problem.
Third, is to work on your body language. Have a powerful posture and keep your chin up. Move slower and hold your eye contact. Smile once in awhile but not all the time…don’t look like a clown. Be flowing with good energy.
These three steps are simple in theory but tough in practice. Like I said earlier, it’s much more believable when you surround yourself with Asian men who have been in your shoes and who have completely changed their lives around. I was a non-believer until I ran into a couple of these guys.
